Field Notes

Description:

Small plant with overlapping, slightly rounded leaves spread on the ground. Straight shoots about 4 inches tall, lined with what are most likely seeds--the older ones had browned, but the young shoots had green seeds.

Habitat:

In Yosemite Valley, near Tenaya Creek in a clearing.
