Here's a sort of a checklist for species from that family in Asia: http://www.asia-dragonfly.net/globalResults.php?Family=24&Format=SL_HTML
I checkked here......searched over the net ...this is the best I got http://www.nerdybirders.com/html/dragonflies/stream-glory.html
See http://mandysmlee.multiply.com/photos/album/40
Have you checked out other species that look like this? Because there are many species in this family that look quite the same at first glance. Steam Glory does not really look like this one. Females shjould have two white spots on the wings and males have much darker wings.
I have some more pics..wil upload it..help me in ID this
Looks like a (female of) Calopteryx species. I do not know which Calopteryx species there are in India. You might be missing on the photo an important part for ID. The upper part of the wing with the location of the pseudopterostigma. At least in European species that gives an important clue for species ID.
