Field Notes

Description:

Small, young bat with pug face and big ears. Brown.

Habitat:

In a horse barn

Notes:

We kept finding these while cleaning stalls. Would find them in the shavings in the floor of the horse stalls! Found about 4 of the babies and one adult one during the days... finally convinced the kids they were likely sick and to stop picking them up!!

Sorry, I know it isn't a very good pic... but the ones with the face in it were very blurry! Just for size reference... it's clung to a piece of 1/2 inch rebar. It's just a tiny little thing!
