Field Notes
Description:
Brown/black with 4 dots on middle of body. Long, slender with 6 legs. Two pincers on head/face, possibly 2 antenna as well. Tail does not have any protrusions or antenna.
Habitat:
Found on pepper plants in small pots on porch, which have recently had small to moderate aphid infestation.
Notes:
Could this be a predatory insect that is clearing the aphids? I've left them (I found 3) to see what happens. They did not appear to be damaging the plants.
