A classy looking male on one of the lakes at the Ridgefield NWR.

Another shot using some slight fill flash to bring out some of the detail in the black feathers, especially on and around the head.

That's very interesting, this duck looks almost exactly like the Tufted Duck we get in Europe, but without the tuft of course! A very gorgeous picture, nicely captured :)
