Description:

These beetles were quite small. For scale, look at the aphid on the underside of the reed. They were near a pond outside Dolores, CO.

Thanks AshishNimkar! The shell looks right (for a Cereal leaf beetle), but the body seems to have a different texture and color. That's closer than I've gotten to an ID though...
