Field Notes

Description:

25cm...a colony of tiny tunicate animals individually known as zooids. Usually have flattened sides and several lobes. Arrive on beaches in a grand display of colors: white, pink, yellow, green, red, purple or greys. Rubbery.

Habitat:

Common on rocks and jetties.

Notes:

A yummy bit for stingrays and sea turtles!
