Field Notes

Notes:

We spotted two of these here today, around 7 a.m. One of them moved across ground to get to the tree in front of our house and spent time feeding and snoozing all day. Just before dark she was curled up in the crook of the tree. Since there were two and all this happened during the day, this pair must be the exception to the "solitary, nocturnal" habits of the species.
