Field Notes

Description:

Cocoon sizes range from 3~7mm, appear to be made of detrius held together by white silk. Prominent mandibles. Striped head.

Habitat:

Plentiful in tall grasses, shrubs and larger tree trunks.

Notes:

They appear much whiter to the unaided eye. I had to darken these photos in order to resolve the head.
