Description:

At first glance with the naked eye, this small insect may resemble a moth. But zoom in and it is clearly a hopper (Hemiptera: Ricaniidae).

Habitat:

This spotting in a large semi-urban yard/garden adjacent to a disturbed patch of remnant forest.
