Description:

This bumble bee was enjoying a nice afternoon rest on our purple cone flowers (echinacea), in our front garden. He was not half a bee and his name was not Eric! ...

Habitat:

Bumble bees are typically found in higher latitudes and/or high altitudes, though exceptions exist (there are a few lowland tropical species).
