cehertzog, No I did not know it is in the Aster/daisy family! It is kind of fuzzy. The Volcano is another good reason to go to Maui! Amazing! Thanks dandouchette!

Wow...that is a really cool endemic plant...and after a bit of research, I found that is in the Asteraceae, or Aster/Daisy family...who would have ever thought...thanks for sharing. Another good reason to visit Hawaii. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Haleakal%C4%81_Silversword
