Description:

Jewel Spiders are also known as Six Spined Spider, Christmas spiders and Spiny Spiders. Jewel Spiders build vertical orb webs about one to two meters above the ground. The radius of their webs are denser then other spider's. It could be because of their short legs. They sit at the center of their webs from day to night.

Females are larger than males measuring 7 mm as opposed to the males' smaller 4 mm.
