Description:

I love giant pandas, especially the ones at the San Diego Zoo. I discovered these pandas via Panda Cam and witnessed the birth and growth of several panda cubs. The two adult pandas are Bai Yun and Gao Gao and the current cub is Yun Zi. Bai Yun has given birth to five cubs since her arrival at the San Diego Zoo: Hua Mei, Mei Sheng, Su Lin, Zhen Zhen, and our newest cub, Yun Zi, born on August 5, 2009.

I have attached a video showing Gao Gao eating bamboo and the link below is Bai Yun. Unfortunately, the cub Yun Zi was not on display when I visited the zoo.

Habitat:

San Diego Zoo Giant Panda Research Station

Notes:

The panda is a conservation reliant endangered species. The work at the San Diego Zoo Giant Panda Research Station is very important in making sure Giant Pandas survive.
