Ha-ha! Thanks venusflytrap2000. They're only tiny birds, very trusting & responsive to calls, often around. The call is quite loud for a small bird & they are often heard but not seen due to the size & camouflage (although they do look bright it is a good colouring for disappearing into the bush!).
amazing shot, so cool to see one of these! which i'll admit, ive never heard of ;)
Thanks Tom15. I should add some full body shots so others can see the full form of the bird.
Very nice portrait of a beautiful bird.
Thank you everyone for great comments. These birds are just so delicate and beautiful. Often the smaller birds realise I'm not a threat and will stay close by for safety from predatory birds and other animals as they are more wary of my presence. Maybe some sort of symbiotic relationship there - ha-ha!
These are precious and beautiful little birds, love em. They are many local extinctions in the face of cats and development so it is nice to see your photograph
Super shot of a busy little bird. Well done..
