It's a skull...that's as much as I know! As you can see, it's tiny. Andy ideas?

Also, I had to hold it so the photos turned out good enough - the flash was causing problems and the light not good enough to not use the flash. :)
Unfortunately this was the only part I found. It definitely has oval eyes, which made me think cricket/grasshopper. It could well be part of the exoskeleton - I realise by using the term 'skull' I could cause confusion but it was the first term that came to mind when I was uploading the photos.
or bush cricket? Hard to tell in your fingers, without knowing how it was oriented to the rest of the body.
or the head section of a shed exoskeleton--something with oval eyes (grasshopper, perhaps)?
could it be a Praying mantis ?
A good point, one I managed to forget! Thanks. :) It could be...it is very tiny, though, as you can see. Unfortunately, this was the only bit I found in my back yard.
Bugs don't have skulls because they have exoskelatons. Hummingbird??
