Description:
Also known as Fern-leaf Desert Parsley, Lomatium dissectum is a chocolate brown wildflower in the carrot family. It has extraordinary medicinal uses. Native Americans have long used this plant to prevent and treat many ailments. In pic 3 shows the fruit , which resembles pumpkin seeds.
Habitat:
Spotted in sagebrush steppe. Above 2000 ft.
Notes:
Found from southern British Columbia and Alberta south on both sides of the Cascade Mts. through Washington and Oregon to southern California and east to the Rocky Mts. of Colorado and Arizona.
