Field Notes

Description:

This was the female/ immature male that watched the males argue over this other berry bush. Then after they left, she flew down tot he blueberry (store bought) that I put onto a ground platform feeder. She had 2 or 3 berries, visited the water bowl, and flew off in the same directions as the males.
Actually, I see a white eye ring and Cornell Bird Lab says that is an immature male attribute.

I made this platform feeder out of a terra cotta flowerpot and saucer flipped upside down and silicone glue along the bottom edge of the saucer stuck to the top of the flipped over flower pot. Sturdy base.
