If you stand still long enough, these guys begin to land on your arms, clothes, etc. and will accompany you for miles. Not sure if that's them being friendly or lazy, but it certainly is unlike most butterflies I know! Great find. :)
Thanks, Karen; looks like that's it. There is a grove of oaks a few miles from this spotting.
