Its finally find in Asters at last.. what my first guess was right... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crownbeard
Thanks Chester...we'll got with that ID. It looks close enough to me.
If the number and length of the flower petals is variable, as it appears in the picture, then definitely wingstem.
Yes!! Several hundred miles north!! You also have mountains.
Atlanta, Georgia is a little north of Florida. There are not showers up here like down there.
Also check Tiliaceae family flowers... Such axillary type.
We see here Elephantopus genus but flowers are Purple and White.
I seen no rain just today after last 80 days...!!
Yes, There is a lot of Asteraceae, Fabaceae plants. They bloom in fall here! Monsoon season in Florida is June until October. It rains almost every day and it may rain in one side of the street but not the other. We have interesting weather here, similar to your region.(Tropical)
It is drought like conditions right now. We have had one day of rain in almost 3 weeks.
Such longer petals seen here in India in Synedrella Genus of Asteraceae... Is it Monsoon across US..? I see lots of Asteraceae, Fabaceae plants in current spottings which seen in monsoon here.
