Amazing, what a big ol' diatom! I'm currently using diatoms as my guinea pigs in my research, but marine ones :) I am hoping to get some pictures of them with a scanning electron microscope, so I could put some nice detailed pics on here! This one is really cool though, the benefit of big cells is that you can see all the chloroplasts and things! Nice :)
