Description:

A Silver-spotted Skipper butterfly feeding on Zinnia flowers (Zinnia sp.). Silver-spotted Skipper is one of the easier-to-identify Skipper butterflies.

The flower is a Zinna. I am presently in Austria and only going in to check my mail once a day. You do an excellent job of identifying.
The butterfly is on a zinnia. CoraVajnai described one of my spotting as a "flower growing on another." I also like one of its common name "youth-and-old-age." http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/6385301
