Antlions eyes usually have larger gaps between them while Owlfly's eyes are closer to each other.
Same order (Neuroptera), different families. Antlions are Myrmeleontidae (http://bugguide.net/node/view/137/tree), Owlflies are Ascalaphidae (http://bugguide.net/node/view/4129). This page has photos of adult versions of each, as well as other Neuropterans (http://natureswow.com/antlions-lacewings-owlfly-neuroptera/) I'm certainly no entomologist, look at the descriptions and decide for yourself.

Thats same thing... http://www.amentsoc.org/insects/glossary/terms/myrmeleontidae
Cool photo, my first thought was 'antlion' as well but it looks to fit the 'owlfly' (http://www.treknature.com/gallery/Asia/India/photo140418.htm) description better.
M&N you are perfect... http://thegreenogre.blogspot.com/2010/12/encounter-antlions-and-pit-of-death.html
