Field Notes

Description:

This is the pupal stage of the ashy gray lady beetle. We had two kinds of larvae all around our house in June, and when they pupated some were orangy-red and some, like this, were white. The white ones turned out to be the ashy gray lady beetle, while the orangy-red ones were asian lady beetles (Harmonia axyridis).

Habitat:

On my house.
