Field Notes

Description:

small white flowers in alpine meadow

Habitat:

alpine meadow

Notes:

Originally from Europe, white campion has become naturalized in the US possibly as part of ship's ballast. Given this is near the Straits of Juan de Fuca, this makes perfect sense

Intersting. My mom has tons of Rose Campion in her yard and the leaves look nothing like this, but I'll take your word for it
Ah, just quickly had a look and the white campion we get in Europe has apparently been naturalised in the States, so this is definitely white campion! Excellent photo :)
Looks like some kind of campion? I unfortunately don't know the kinds you get in the States, but definitely looks like campion to me :)
