Field Notes

Description:

This moth had a wing span of about 20 mm . The fore wings showed a lights.wide dark band. The submarginal area was bordered by wavy double white lines.

Habitat:

Spotted in a garden under bright lights.

Notes:

This is a geometrid moth belonging to a group called "carpet" moths. The ID needs confirmation.
