Species ID Suggestions

Mojave Rattlesnake

Crotalus scutulatus

I vote for Mojave as Taylor suggested. I looked at your other spotting which I assume is of the same individual, and scales on the snout look like those of a Mojave. The other option, based on your spotting location, is the Western Rattlesnake (Crotalus viridis), which is different than the Western Diamondback (range doesn't get that far up into CA).
Either a mojave rattlesnake or western diamondback. Hard to tell without a closer shot of the head.
It's definitely a rattlesnake.
Do I see part of a rattle on the very end or is that just a plant in the way?
