Sorry guys! I'll have to head back up the mountains and take a picture of the gills...
Thanks Antonio! And so the mystery continues..
In the Sulphur Tuft the gills began ,when young, with soft grey\yellow collour and with the age, turn brown,brown\black,the velvet foot,i realy dont know by experience, the photos i saw show in almost every one the gills much less dark than in the sulphur tuft, without the photo of the gills is dificult to haved 100% sure
I honestly cant tell the difference between a sulphur tuft and a velvet foot mushroom...so honestly your guess is as good as mine! But I would like to know what it is, when you do figure it out!! Good luck.
Nice finding AryaMansourzadeh, did you saw the gills?or does you have more pics?In my opinion it looks like a Sulphur tuft, like this one http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/56266004
Most likely a Pine or Alder. The forest I was hiking in was full of both.
What tree do you think it is growing on?
I'm not very good with mushrooms, which do you guys think is more likely accurate?
How about Hypholoma fasciculare?
