This one was actually already banded when we caught it. I am actually in the Captive Wildlife Care and Education program. Which is zoos/rehab centers etc. But I've been taking wildlife classes because I almost went into wildlife biology. Fun stuff! I've been mist netting and banding songbirds recently for an ornithology class. And harlequin ducks are beautiful!

Ooow, that sounds lovely. I only got to hold a mallard duck at my college. hehe I haven't seen a wood duck in real life yet! I really like the wood duck but also you may know about the harlequin duck,( which is from the same family as wood duck) Also a pretty fricken birdy! :) What is your program called? Mine is called Fish and Wildlife Technology

What college do you go to? If you don't mind answering.. I am in a wildlife program myself. That's a male Wood Duck in it's none breeding plumage.
