Description:

Very tiny (1/8" across) cup-like fungi growing on hardwood mulch.

Habitat:

In my garden.

Thanks everybody!! I believe there's lil eggs in there, but with recent rains, they were covered with water...will investigate further this evening!! ;)
I agree with dandoucette - bird's nest fungi. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyathus.
This might be splash cups - Cyathus striatus, not sure though. Very similar to my spotting. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7230832
The common name for these types of fungi is "birds nest", because they look like nests with eggs in them, but I've no idea which species would be found in your area.
