Field Notes

Description:

Eggs from a depredated Diamondback Terrapin nest in the marsh around Dauphin Island. Raccoons eat the eggs and sometimes catch the turtles and eat them as well.

Notes:

From the two weeks I spent taking a class at the Dauphin Island Sea Lab on the biology and conservation of marine turtles.
