Field Notes

Habitat:

spotted in scrub land preserve beside brackish canal

Notes:

I'm thinking it is a large turtle (probably soft-shelled). The V-shaped bone to the lower right appears to be a jaw like that of a turtle.

You are welcome! I think this can be moved from "other organisms" to reptiles now.
That's pretty neat, Scott; thanks. In the first picture the large bone on the right appears to be the pectoral bone; and leg bones on the left. I've added a picture I believe shows part of the pelvic girdle. Thanks again.
Perhaps this is useful for determining if it is a turtle: http://campus.murraystate.edu/academic/faculty/tderting/anatomyatlas/SkelSysTurtamy-becky.html
