It must be bad because not even the hungry chicken want them!
I think their the same as mine http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/7317036 They live communally for protection. Each grub can produce a pungent substance to deter predators

Sawfly larva, also known as 'Spitfire' grubs. Probably a Perga species.
Must be moth caterpillars which act like pest...!!
Oh.. and the feed only on Eucalyptus Trees.. and the chicken don't eat them!!
Yep.. very hungry little critters.. one of my little tree has no leaves left! And they just moved to the next one!
I've seen these but dont know what they turn into. Hungry little critters!
