Description:

A compact little Sphinx Moth I haven't seen before. The upper wings look like bark, the underwings are bright orange. It has a small crest of scales on the thorax and is about 4 cm long. Family Sphingidae.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
