Hi Kristal, this one was in the gardens of a castle so it was put there as an ornamental garden plant. I believe that no Asclepias are native to Portugal. I had never seen a flower like that and was very intrigued by it. Lynne, thank you for the suggestion!
It's definitely an Asclepias, and the one suggested above looks like a good match. Are there any Asclepias native to Portugal? Was this found in cultivation, or was it wild?
