The upper side of the male's wings is yellow with black borders. The upper side of the female's wings is either yellow or greenish-white with yellow- or white-spotted black borders. The underside of the male's wings is yellow while the female's is yellow or greenish-white, and both have a double hind wing spot trimmed in brownish-red. Its wingspan 32 to 54 mm.

Habitat:

Notes:

I spotted a lot of these flying around the trail near Mewburn Rd. They flew very erratically and only landed for very short periods of time. Extremely difficult to photograph. I chased a lot of them for a while to get these shots.

Hi Dan: I think it might be a clouded sulphur male: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Clouded_Sulphur_1,_Perth.jpg I just spotted a Clouded Sulphur in Berkeley and looked at dozen of photos before figuring out which species mine was. Hope this helps!
