Description:

Panthera Onca is the biggest and strongest cat in America. It has the strongest jaw of all big cats of the world aswell as the largest canine. This cat can hunt almost everything: cocodriles, deers, armadillos, opossums, etc. It lives at night and sleeps during the day. Females grow only 2 youngs eventhough it can give birth 3. It is a very good swimmer.

Buenisimo Noé! Que alegria escuchar de personas que trabajan día a día por la educación en conservación. Me encanta el hecho que siendo un ejemplar que creció en cautiverio, se vea tan hermoso. Por eso dude si era de reserva o silvestre, porque simplemente se ve en muy buenas condiciones, te felicito! :)

Carolina, qué tal! Este ejemplar creció en cautiverio con nosotros (miembros del CIE) hasta poco más del año. Su madre fue asesinada y los cazadores pensaban venderlo en el mercado negro pero las autoridades en turno lo interceptaron y nos lo trajeron siendo un bebé a nuestras instalaciones para que nos hicieramos cargo de él. Este gatito se convirtió en una poderosa arma para la Educación para la Conservación y mucha gente tubo contacto con él y aprendieron sobre su especie, comportamientos y riesgos. Yo, en lo personal, aprendí mucho sobre él y me ha tocado el corazon inspirandome a diseñar los primeros programas de concientización y conservación de la biodiversidad en la reserva. Hemos tenido grandiosos resultados y el involucramiento de todas las comunidades que habitan la reserva. Saludos!!
