Description:

Small brown orb weaver spider, there is variability in coloration within species, this one is brown-grey, but colors vary from light brown, grey to dark. Distinct six dark patterned spots on the dorsal side of abdomen. This species of Neoscona can usually be described as having thinner and shorter legs to body proportions compared that to other Neoscona species.

Habitat:

Found on top of our kitchen sink, common around houses and human settlements, that's why the local name for them "balaynon" is used because, the root word "balay" translates to house. Panay Island, Philippines. Distribution - It is found in Asia and Pacific islands, has been introduced into both Americas, and Sudan.

They are commonly seen around the proximity of human settlements.----
This specimen is definitely female and most likely had laid the egg sac a few hours prior as it is still near the egg sac vacinity , clearly seen in the last pic.
