Description:

Spotted this beautiful Common Checkered-Skipper in the UC Berkeley Botanical Gardens old rose garden. This section of the gardens is the perfect location to spot butterflies. I saw several swallowtails and monarchs fly by, but was not able to photograph them. They fly so fast!

Habitat:

UC Berkeley Botanical Gardens, Berkeley, CA.
