Description:

The larger bee is a squash bee (genus Peponapis), while the smaller one is a sweat bee (genus Lasioglossum). Both were visiting this male zucchini (Cucurbita pepo) flower. Peponapis are squash specialists, exclusively visiting squash blossoms for pollen.

Habitat:

Potted vegetable plants in my back yard, suburban setting.
