Field Notes

Description:

These wild horses have adapted to cold climates on these high altitudes. Spotted them on the way back from Nathu la pass, Gangtok, Sikkim, India

Notes:

As I got close to them for these shots they stopped to take a look at me. Then as if they understood, got back to grazing, munching at the dry grass, as I stood wondering what they were eating on that barren land! The sight of these horses in a forlorn landscape will linger in my memory for times to come.
