i wasn't close to it. i was on the road on my bike and it was on electric power lines more than 20 feet above ground. you are right, they are normally very shy birds, and flies away on approach. i am hoping for a better shot pretty soon. ;)
How did you get that close to it? The ones I've seen flit away the second I make a slight movement.
