Description:
A medium sized tortise that is fairly common in florida, It's front legs are used for digging. It is brown in color and measures around 1-2 feet long.
Habitat:
This magnificent animal lives in the Scrublands of Florida, as well as Pine-Flatwoods, Oak Forests. It prefers places that are full of sand, making it easier to dig their burrows.
Notes:
This endangered tortoise supplies a great number of animals with homes. When they dig their burrows, other animals such as snakes, rodents, and amphibians use these burrows as shelter.
