Field Notes

Description:

Variation-Peafowl are best known for the male's colourful tail, which is a part of courtship. The female peafowl is brown or toned grey and brown. Peachicks can be between yellow, to a tawny colour with darker brown patches.
At the particular Place that I spotted this beautiful bird, black squirrels and ducks were sharing the same park space.
The Peafowls symbiotic relations could be considered the males tail, witch attracts female peafowls. And is an example of Mutualism. Other than that the only other symbiotic relation with the peafowl would be from parasites and sicknesses they may accumulate, which is an example of Parasitism.
Peafowls tend to nest on the ground, but also tend to chill in the trees, and normally live in warmer climates.Bright flashing feathers, and their high pitched screeches is their defence while in packs from 10-30.
Reproduction is sexual, males attract females by flashing their tail feathers, and using their high pitched screeches, which tend to sound like a cats meow, and reproduce by laying eggs.

Habitat:

-Live and nest on the ground, but tens to relax on tree branches in the shade. The peacock originally comes from India, Sri Lanka, and Burma.
-Peafowl are not very finicky with what they eat, some examples are shelled corn, cracked corn, oats, rabbit pellets dog food, trout chow, sunflower seed, grass, dandelions, insects, and many other foods.
-What eats peafowls? Wild cats, mongooses and canine.
