Description:

Wingspan about 30 mm, colored distinctively as shown.

Habitat:

Alighting on the top of stunted Gambel's Oak trees in otherwise mixed conifer forest habitat along dusty road. Elevation about 7,000 ft.

Notes:

This butterfly is the Colorado State Insect.
