Description:

The Cattle Egret is most often seen on the ground, near a Water Buffalo (and sometimes on a Buffalo's back), but they are occasionally seen, like this one, high up on a tree, where it can get a better view the surroundings.

Habitat:

Spotted in the farm, perched at the top of a tall Perfume Tree (Cananga odorata) locally called Ilang-ilang, in this part of the Philippines.
