Description:

Rabbits are small mammals in the family Leporidae of the order Lagomorpha, found in several parts of the world.

A wild rabbit seen on a path during a walk.

Habitat:

Rabbit habitats include meadows, woods, forests, grasslands, deserts and wetlands. I saw this one just outside the grounds of the hotel I was staying in in NW Uganda.

Notes:

Wondering how a rabbit got to Uganda. Then I found an article about a village rabbit breeding program as a source of food, and wondered if this was an escapee...
