Field Notes

Description:

This holly bush was bought our first Christmas at Elmwood Court, and planted in the Spring of 2007, now 4 years old. It was planted in our front garden surrounded by the purple cone flowers and the pine trees. Not sure if the birds eat the holly berrys or not but this year they were a beautiful deep red in color.

Habitat:

holly plants are diverse that can be grown in all 50 states, with hundreds of species, growing on all the continents except for Australia and Antarctica. The plants come in all sizes, from dwarf shrubs to trees.

Notes:

personal note: I really love holly of all kinds, so was excited to find this "bush type" holly to plant in the garden. :-)
