Field Notes

Description:

A wading bird of the deep South, the striking White Ibis is frequently seen on lawns looking for large insects as well as probing for prey along the shoreline.

Habitat:

Marsh

Notes:

A group of White Ibis hanging out at Busch Gardens, Tampa, Florida.
Guess they must like it there because they can fly away if they want. They aren't held captive.
