Found on a river near the Diria National Park "Casona" ranger station.

And the female Green Kingfishers aren't really known for having as much rufous on the chest as the immature amazon kingfishers do.

It's is probably a immature, because they don't have the full rufous colored chest, they just have the slight bit of rufous color (such as yours.)

Desmond, thanks for the suggestion. The chest coloration is different and this was quite a bit smaller than the size given for the Amazon Kingfisher. It looks pretty similar to what a female Green Kingfisher should look like except that most descriptions say that the coppery colored area on my specimen should be white. I'm guessing that it's simply a color variation of female Green Kingfisher.
